Whether you’re stepping into a gym for the first time or after a hiatus, a little guidance can go a long way. Regular physical exercise can improve cognitive function, prevent weight gain, and lower your risk of high blood pressure and stroke, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). One member shared with us that on her first day back in the gym after a little break, she was worried it would be very difficult but thankfully her coach discussed a few nutritional options, available to members, to help speed her goals along! Thanks to nutrition, she was able to push her body harder than she thought she could. Now she feels fantastic with so much more energy.

Make a good friend or two, or seven.

One of the coolest things we’ve noticed about our members is that it doesn’t take long to find a workout buddy who will hold you accountable for showing up!

In fact, every new member gets paired up with their very own workout buddy, the first day of class! Someone who is a perfect match, who will show you the ropes, help set up equipment and be your biggest cheerleader during the workout!

You’ll be less likely hit your snooze button or bail out after a tiring workday when you know someone is depending on you to show up.

Find the right gym.

When my kids were little, the selling point at the gym I chose was the childcare center. I couldn’t focus on my workout unless I felt confident that my children were not only in good hands but were also having fun.
